What are injectable Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers smooth wrinkles, enhance facial lines, and replenish lost volume with injectable dermal fillers – gel-like substances injected beneath the skin. Renowned for their safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime, these fillers are a popular choice in cosmetic rejuvenation and contouring such as liquid Rhinoplasty or non-surgical nose job.

Hyaluronic Acid | HA Fillers

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers stand out as the preferred choice, renowned for their reversibility, safety, and ability to yield natural-looking results. Functioning as our skin's inherent moisturizer, hyaluronic acid (HA) is a familiar component found in day and night creams. Within the body, HA fills the spaces between cells, safeguarding them by retaining water and providing a cushion-like effect. Remarkably, HA can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, contributing to the maintenance of skin smoothness (moisturizing effect) and plumpness (volumizing effect). Typically soft and gel-like, HA fillers deliver temporary results lasting 6 to 12 months or more, gradually and naturally absorbed by the body.

  • What to expect after dermal fillers?
After receiving dermal fillers, you can expect some mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, which typically subsides within a few days. Results are usually visible immediately but may improve over the following weeks as any initial swelling resolves. It's important to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol consumption for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment. Additionally, follow any specific aftercare instructions provided by your provider, and attend any recommended follow-up appointments for optimal results.
  • Do dermal fillers hurt?
At Papillon Bleu, we prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction by employing topical numbing agents and utilizing cannulas for select filler treatments. These measures ensure a smooth and comfortable experience, minimizing any discomfort for our patients
  • Are dermal fillers permanent?
Dermal fillers offer temporary but enduring skin volumization. To sustain your results, follow-up appointments are necessary, typically ranging from every 4 to 18 months based on the filler brand and formulation. Our physician will inform you when it is needed to come back again for further administration of HA fillers. Certain fillers may stimulate collagen production, extending results for up to a year or longer.
  • When will I see the results from dermal fillers?
The effects of your filler treatment become immediately visible, rendering your skin smoother, lips fuller, and cheeks plumper. With injectables, there's no downtime, allowing you to promptly return to your regular activities following your dermal filler session at Papillon Bleu Aesthetics. However, please avoid saunas and hot tubs for the first couple of days to ensure optimal results.
  • What are dermal fillers made of?
Papillon Bleu, we take pride in using Teoxane fillers, which are crafted primarily from cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural component of the skin. Teoxane employs its patented RHA® (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) technology to fortify the filler's durability and longevity within the skin. These fillers may also incorporate lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to ensure a more comfortable injection experience.
